The Nürburgring Endurance Series starts a new season on 18 March with the 68th ADAC Westfalenfahrt, a four-hour race on the famous Green Hell track. The race features 295 drivers from 31 countries with cars from 17 manufacturers, including two Ferrari 296 GT3 cars, Lamborghini Huracan GT3, and the BMW M4 GT3. The GT4 class SP10 includes nine homologated sports cars, and VT2-R+4WD and VT2-FWD are among the other classes with full championship points.
Frikadelli Racing and WTM by Rinaldi Racing, will race the new Ferrari 296 GT3 and Abt Sportsline will compete with the latest evolution of the Lamborghini Huracan GT3. In the GT4 class SP10, nine cars have been entered, with teams such as Haupt Racing Team (Mercedes-AMG), Teichmann Racing, and KCMG (both Toyota). The Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring will feature the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the CUP2, CUP3 and BMW M240i Racing by Goodyear classes.
The opening races of the series are always keenly contested as teams prepare for the big one, the 24 Hour race later in the year.
