Sebring 12 Hours 2025 Pt 1 LIVE

One of the premiere events of the USA sportscar racing season, the 73rd annual Sebring 12 Hours is on Sunday morning 1:00 AM AEDST. 
AustralianMatt Campbell will be a major outright contender in his Penske Porsche while Josh Burdon will represent Australia in the LMP2 class driving with Gar Robinson
and Felipe Fraga.
Scott Andrews will drive an AMG GT3 in the GTD Am class along with Tom Sargent in a Porsche.

The race marks the IMSA debut of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, while Porsche’s factory team looks to continue their winning Daytona 24 form.

Nick Tandy, fresh off his “Tandy Slam” at Daytona, has the opportunity to become the 13th driver to complete endurance racing’s Triple Crown should he secure victory in the #7 Penske Porsche alongside Vanthoor and Felipe Nasr.

Cadillac’s Whelen/Action Express outfit, will see 2023 champion Jack Aitken and 2022 winner Earl Bamber lead the charge, with Frederik Vesti continuing his development in the lineup.

Acura’s hopes for consecutive Sebring victories rest on Meyer Shank Racing’s two entries. Tom Blomqvist, Colin Braun, and Scott Dixon, last year’s runners-up, return in the #60 ARX-06, while Renger van der Zande, Nick Yelloly, and Indycar Star Alex Palou are in the #93.

BMW M Team RLL move into the race with increasing confidence in its M Hybrid V8. Dries Vanthoor has demonstrated strong pace, but refinements are still needed to secure victory.

In LMP2 United Autosports USA’s Daniel Goldburg, Paul di Resta, and Rasmus Lindh arrive as Daytona winners, leading the overall standings by 43 points over Riley’s #74 crew including Josh Burdon.

Kakunoshin Ohta, fresh from a Super Formula victory at Suzuka, debuts for reigning class champions Era Motorsport, while Juan Manuel Correa makes his IMSA debut in United Autosports’ #2 entry. Jeremy Clarke steps in for Jon Field at Inter Europol Competition following a medical withdrawal.

In GTD PRO, tensions persist between Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports and Paul Miller Racing after their contentious battle at Daytona. Two-time Sebring class winner Tommy Milner returns in the #4 Corvette, while Connor De Phillippi competes in the #1 BMW. Corvette, with 12 previous Sebring class victories, remains a formidable force, spearheaded by four-time event winner Antonio Garcia in the #3 car alongside Daniel Juncadella and Alexander Sims.

The Ford Mustang GT3 secured its first global victory at Daytona, and Chris Mies, Frederic Vervisch, and Dennis Olsen will aim to sweep Florida’s endurance classics in the #65. The #1 BMW of Madison Snow, Neil Verhagen, and De Phillippi leads the Endurance Cup standings by two points.

In GTD, AWA’s #13 Corvette leads the season standings following its Daytona triumph, with Matt Bell, Orey Fidani, and Lars Kern at the helm. Inception Racing, level with AWA in the Endurance Cup standings, will provide stiff competition. Defending Sebring winners Winward Racing, the #27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin, and the #120 Wright Motorsports Porsche remain strong contenders after impressive Daytona performances.
