The annual Melbourne International Motorshow was for many years a highlight of the year for us on In Pit Lane. Apart from being a unique chance to see all the latest models in one place at one time, the Motoshow was a great networking opportunity and to catch up with the movers and shakers of the industry who normally wouldn’t waste even a second on the likes of us.
Alas the Motoshow and its Sydney counterpart are no more.
And they are not alone. Even one of the biggest, the North American International Motorshow in Detroit is under threat as manufacturers go there own way and leave the auto show circuit in droves.
In this episode of Weekend Drive they look at the changes planned to the show to try and stay relevant and ask why OEMs are no longer supporting the old fashioned Auto Show.
