Honda will be the car to beat with an all NSX front row for this afternoon’s fly away round of the Autobac Super GT Series in Thailand.
The NSX of Hideki Mutoh and Daisuke Nakajima set the fastest time in Qualifying to edge out fellow Honda drivers Koudai Tsukakoshi and Takashi Kogure.
Heikki Kovalainen and Kamui Kobayashi will start their Lexus out of position number three ahead of Joao Paulo de Oliveira and Mitsunori Takaboshi in the first of the Nissan GT-Rs.
Jenson Button, fresh from his Le Mans debut, is back behind the wheel of his Honda and will start out of position number five.
GT3 cars dominated the GT300 class with the AMG Mercedes of Haruki Kurosawa and Naoya Gamou setting the pace to lead home the Audi R8 LMS of Richard Lyons and Takashi Kobayashi. The Subaru of Takuto Iguchi and Hideki Yamauchi was the fastest of the “Mother Chassis” cars in sixth place in class.
