THE NEW H2 BUSA

Just the ticket for that Westfield?

The design is complete and manufacturing has begun on the BUSA engine. The H2 BUSA engine will be offered as a kit or complete engine. As a kit, it allows the transfer of all Suzuki Hayabusa upper engine parts to a robust 6061-T6 billet crankcase designed to be mated to automotive gearboxes like the Ford Sierra Type 9. The engine has a 4 stage dry sump system which enables the crankshaft to be just 116mm from the engine bottom. With the 140mm clutch, 215mm flywheel and compact bellhousing, the entire drivetrain on a lotus 7 type clubman car can be lowered several inches. The engine is estimated to have a fully dressed weight of 140lbs and can produce 175 to 250 hp NA; and much more in turbo form. Availability to be 1st quarter 2009. JOIN THE VICTORIAN FLAG MARSHALLING TEAM!

The Victorian Flagmarshalling Team Inc. is a group of over 135 volunteers who donate their time to provide trackside marshals at various motor race meetings in Victoria. Some of our members also work at the FIA F1, Indycar and Bathurst meetings. As a Flagmarshal we are responsible for:

• Using flags to signal information to drivers

• Provide information to race control

• Provide assistance to drivers

* Helping to eradicate the world’s dangerous over supply of sausages and beer

Training is usually provided at CAMS Observed License Tests, where prospective drivers tryout for their racing license. Further training in fire fighting and other aspects of motor sport is also provided.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

The Victorian Fire and Rescue Squad (VFRS) is a voluntary Incorporated organisation established in the early 70’s by Women for Wheels.

Our mission is twofold.

• The first is to provide a professional fire and rescue service for motorsport events.

• The second is to promote an awareness of the high fire safety standards required for the protection of competitors, officials and spectators.

Members of The Victorian Fire and Rescue Squad provide services at a variety of motorsport events throughout the year. V8 Supercars, Drag Racing, MotoGP, World Superbikes, The Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, Hillclimbs, Rallies and Indy Car Racing.

VFRS members are accredited CAMS officials and the Victorian Fire & Rescue Squad is a CAMS affiliated club. It’s an exciting and valuable job and a great way to make a real contribution to the sport you love.
