Team Mitsubishi Ralliart Australia has dominated the innaugural Australian Six Hour Production Car race at Eastern Creek Raceway in Sydney. Warren Luff and Stuart Kostera dominated the event, starting from pole and leading home a Evo X one-two. The winners finished two-and-a-half laps clear of Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X stable mates Inky Tulloch and Steve Jones, with third place going to Peter Conroy and Mark Brame in another EVO X. Incredibly, the six hour long marathon went caution free, with the lack of a safety car intervention allowing the winning duo to walk away from the field. “It was a great day start to finish,” Warren Luff said.

Mitsubishi Motors have announced that the company's new all electric vehicle the i-MiEV is coming to Australia. Mitsubishi's global president, Osamu Masuko, confirmed that Mitsubishi will be the first company to release manufacturer produced electric vehicles down under. The i-MiEV has been attracting a lot of attention in Australia, and I am pleased to announce that we can now confirm additional vehicles will be arriving here in the next few months.” he said. “This announcement will ensure that we will be number one in bringing the electric vehicle to Australia.” According to MMAL’s CEO and President, Masahiko Takahashi, the vehicles will find no shortage of potential owners on local shores.
