Australia's longest running live motorsport show, In Pit Lane, will return in 2011 after confirmation of a new series beginning March 8 on Melbourne's C31. The show which began on cable TV in 1996 celebrates its 15th year on air and continues to provide Australia's most diverse motorsport and motoring news and views. Many In Pit Lane alumni have moved on to work in the local and International TV and Film Industry. In Pit Lane host and producer Brett Ramsey said he was delighted that the show had again been renewed. "It's a long time on air but it honestly feels like we only started yesterday." he said. Brett said that the task of securing sponsors for the show had now begun and of course that is never easy. "Every year has been a massive struggle, and while you'd like to think it would get easier with each passing year it just gets harder and harder." The transition to Digital TV has been a huge challenge and one that has left the show in serious financial trouble. "Overnight all of our existing equipment became redundant." Brett said. " Our 10 year old camera is dead and we can't even play back HD content let alone edit it."
