Brazilian driver Raphael Matos is the 2008 Indy Lights series Champion despite finishing third behind team-mate Arie Luyendyk Jr and Ana Beatriz at Chicagoland.

The race win was Luyendyk’s first in Indy Lights competition after a carrer of 61 races.

Matos won the title ahead of Richard Antinucci whose championship hopes finished up against the wall after a lap 26 accident with Sean Guthrie.

Australian driver James Davison was fifth to finish ninth in the series.
