The struggling World Rally Championship will be promoted by the media division of mega International Energy drink manufacturer Red Bull.
According to the British publication Autosport, Red Bull will soon be announced as the series new promoter after it was put out to tender by the FIA.
Apart from their iconic Energy drink brand, the company has expanded and now sponsors or promotes various sporting and cultural events.
The Red Bull World Air race series was a popular international attraction for many years and the company has been an important player in events like the X-Games and The Race of Champions events.
The Red Bull Media House produce content for many events including the eponymous F1 team as well as a wide range of extreme sports.
The company is on a major International expansion with the addition of Red Bull Mobile in to the Australian market with a major sponsorship deal with Triple Eight Racing to sponsor the teams V8 Supercars from 2013.
