The return of the Sandown 500 is one of the highlights of the 2011 Australian Manufacturers Championship announced today.
The series will be held over six rounds including an eight hour race at Sydney’s Eastern Creek, a six hour race at Phillip Island and the return of the 500 kms event at Sandown.
The series will be administered by the Auto-Motion a company run by competitor Aaron McGill.
According to a media release by Auto-Motion:
“Many exciting benefits await teams who wish to join the AMC that include merchandise, a generous round by round rebate system, corporate entertainment opportunities, a fully sponsored national championship with free to air TV and the winning drivers taking home prizes and a test drive in a V8 Supercar.”
The series will be run under the sanction of the Confederation of Australian Motorsport.
