The line up for the Petite Le Mans at Road Atlanta on October 4 just keeps getting better with the news that Indianapolis 500 winner and IndyCar Series points leader New Zealand’s Scott Dixon is to team with former Indy winner Gil de Ferran in the P2 Acura. Dixon and de Ferran will be joined by former Team Australia Champ Car driver Simon Pagenaud.

Dixon told the ALMS website that he was very excited about driving with de Ferran at Petit Le Mans.

“I know that de Ferran Motorsports has put together a strong team and I believe we will have a chance to win at Petit Le Mans. I would like to thank Chip and my Target team for giving me the opportunity to try a car in a completely different category. I am really looking forward to Petite.” 

It was announced at the start of the week that Peugeot will also take part in the 10 hour race around the spectacular Road Atlanta circuit.
